What Does Construction Cleaning Include?

At Sunshine Cleaning Unlimited we often specifically discuss with the client exactly what cleaning requirements are wanted and then we formulate an individual scope of works that fulfills your cleaning objectives and budget. Total customer satisfaction from our cleaning service is our utmost priority.

Construction Cleaning

(Residential and Commercial)

Construction cleaning can not only include new home building but also renovation cleaning requirements. In the case of a ground-up new build, the construction cleaning process takes place in three stages. Depending on the extent of your project, you may only need some of these services performed.

Phase I (Rough) Interior Cleaning

This doesn’t mean we perform our cleaning roughly at this stage but is more of a preparatory clean. This is a cleaning process that is performed prior to construction being completed but before any carpets, floor coverings and final fit out has been completed. During the installation of these components, they can often be damaged if they are installed when the internals are still generally dirty which has a negative affect at handover.

Cleaning the spaces of a construction site prior to adding the final elements, such as floors, is important because it ensures that the final install is clean and secure. This type of construction site cleaning job generally includes the following:

  • Sweeping and prepping floor underlayment for carpet, tile, etc.
  • Washing all interior windows
  • Dusting surfaces

Phase II Interior Cleaning

Once the final elements are installed, a more thorough and detailed interior cleaning must take place. The details of this type of cleaning vary significantly from room to room. Kitchens and bathrooms, for example, include cabinetry, appliances, fixtures, and countertops that all need specialized care. However, a good final interior cleaning always includes a few key jobs:
